Catherine Hadrill DipCOT, CMIM
Professional background
I have 17 years experience of motivating people and enabling them to set and achieve their own goals. I have worked with groups and individuals. Having qualified as an occupational therapist (OT) in 1989 I have worked mainly in the NHS within the mental health field and more recently learning disabilities. During this time I have worked both as a clinician and a manager.
I have a calm, sensitive and supportive approach that has enabled the most fragile of people to achieve things they once thought impossible.
I am very clear about the distinction between working as an occupational therapist and working as a life coach. The coaching relationship is about commitment and this will help you see the results.
My training and diploma in life coaching from Coaching and Mentoring International has had the biggest impact on my working life
Personal background
I am married to Pete, another occupational therapist, and we are blessed with a lovely daughter Mary, aged four.
Finding myself desperate to get out of OT, I looked to coaching as an alternative. To my absolute shock, the work with my coach resulted in me being enthusiastic about my job, making changes to how I was working and resulting in a great work life balance and no desire to give it up. I am now fortunate to have two careers I feel passionate about.

How I work
I work as a non-directive coach which means I will never tell you what to do. I will enable you to set goals that are unique to you. I coach my clients on the telephone, which reduces travel and time costs and enables you to be coached in the comfort of your own home – or anywhere with a telephone! We can make appointments to suit you
Face to face work can be arranged, geography permitting - Contact me to discuss the possibilities.
